The role of the framework of the oil seal is generally the transmission parts need to be lubricated components and output components isolated, not to let the leakage of lubricating oil, usually used for skeleton oil seal rotating shaft, is a rotary shaft lip seal. The skeleton is like the steel bar in the concrete component, which plays an important role in strengthening, and keeps the shape and tension of the oil seal. According to the skeleton type can be divided into the inner skeleton oil seal, the outer skeleton oil seal, inside and outside the dew skeleton oil seal. The skeleton oil seal is made of high quality nitrile rubber and steel plate, the quality is stable and the service life is long. Widely used in automobile, motorcycle crankshaft, camshaft, differential, shock absorber, engine, axle, front and rear wheels and other parts.

1、To prevent sediment, dust, water vapor from the outside of the bearing;

2、Limit leakage of lubricating oil in bearings. On the seal requirement is the size (diameter, diameter and thickness) shall comply with the provisions of requirements; with appropriate flexibility, can be properly shaft stuck, plays a role in sealing; to heat resistance, good strength, resistance to medium (such as oil or water), long service life.

Reasonable use of oil seal, should pay attention to the following points:

(1)Shaft speed due to the design and structure of the reasons, the high speed shaft should be used high-speed oil seal, low speed shaft using low-speed oil seal, can not be used for low-speed oil seal on the high-speed shaft, and vice versa.

(2)When the ambient temperature is high, it is recommended to use polyacrylate or silicon, fluorine, silicone rubber. And should try to reduce the oil temperature in the tank. In the case of low temperature, cold resistant rubber should be used.

(3)Pressure oil seal pressure bearing capacity is poor, the oil pressure will be too large deformation. Under the condition of too much pressure, the pressure bearing ring or the pressure seal should be used.

(4)Installation of eccentric degree of oil seal and shaft eccentricity is too large, the seal will be poor, especially when the shaft speed is particularly serious. If the eccentricity is too large, you can use the "W" section of the oil seal.

(5)The surface finish of the shaft directly affects the service life of the oil seal, that is, the smoothness of the shaft is high.

(6)Note that the lip of the oil seal should have a certain amount of lubricating oil.

(7)Special attention should be paid to prevent the dust from entering into the oil seal.
